Woke up to snow (below) this morning. It does look quite nice. I want to say it’s our first of the season, but we actually got a dusting back in October or early November (can’t remember now).

This is how I like our winters … just about an inch or two to make it look all serene and lovely, but then stop so I don’t have to break my back cleaning it up at the end! Now the sun is out, so by the time I go home, all of this will be melted.

I also made breakfast this morning (new tradition – I never make breakfast and often rarely EAT breakfast, soooo hoping to keep this going). This morning I mixed 1 egg with sliced baby tomato and broccoli and then cut it up to fit on an English muffin. It was quite good (and cheap considering Dunkin is about $6.00 for breakfast :D).

Don’t know if anyone on my list plays, but I finally played a little World of Warcraft last night. Since I’m trying to get up earlier to exercise, I’ve been pretty tired earlier at night and have barely played this whole week (shocking, I know) … so once my schedule is right, hopefully I’ll be playing it a little more than recently. I am thinking of changing my rogue from human to gnome, because gnomes are just so damn cute … ha!

The toon on left is my human rogue (right now). She’s only lvl 28 so ignore the crappy outfit, haha … and the one on the right is my hunter gnome (she is only lvl 30 but she has better looking gear lol). See how cute the gnome is… AHHH! Decisions, decisions :P

So glad it is FRIDAY. Tomorrow I’m meeting up with Trisha (my bff & brother’s Fiance), Diane and Erica (both bff’s to Trisha and I). We’re going to discuss Vegas plans. We’re going in February ;">Trisha’s bachelorette (Part I -- Part II will include the other bridesmaids & will be in Boston).

So we’re booking the shows, planning the days/nights, etc before it’s all too late. I’m pretty excited because we’re going to see Armin Van Buuren live! I’ve seen ATB, Above and Beyond, Tiesto and Calvin Harris live, but never Armin (Trisha and Diane have, but I was sick when they went so I missed out).

Other things we’re doing: Pole dancing class (I am prepared to laugh so hard my sides are going to split), a ‘male review’ show where we will be right up front near the stage, a lot of sightseeing one day, I think there’s a pool party in there one night (though, it’ll be February in Vegas so not sure if it will be pool worthy)… and I have no idea what else lol. So yeah, I am pretty excited. We’re going from Thursday to Sunday night (coming back Monday morning).

So yeah… that’s about it for this weakened, so I’m sure I’ll be playing lots of World of Warcraft or Battlefield 1 or maybe some SIMS :P What’s everyone got planned? (I’ll be reading soon).

P.S. Anyone know LJ coding? I just want to include a google font for my entries, and I've tried a number of things and can't seem to get it to work. I will love you long time if you can help me :P

I’ve been making my own breakfast every day this week! I know that doesn’t sound all that amazing, but for a person who has spent 33 years of her life never eating (or occasionally stopping at Dunkin) breakfast … this is a feat. Now I have to see if I continue it … lmao!

My brother is getting married in April, and while my dress fits perfectly, and I am content with myself, I want to try to lose 10-15lbs ‘around the edges’. Just to really tone more and look leaner. So, I’ve been working away at meal plans for the month + being ‘more active than usual’. AND, last night I made some baked Salmon + baked asparagus … omg delicious. So, I made a small collage (I am a psycho, I know! :P).

What have I been doing? I actually did a lot of reading the last couple of months. I did my goal for the year in 2 months (10 was goal, plus a couple of extra—17 books total which is sad for me—I’ve read 200 in a year before).

The week before Christmas, we went to my brother’s timeshare in the Berkshires (MA). It was very emotional since it was my dad’s favorite go-to spot for vacation, but it was also very nice to hang out with my family and enjoy moments my dad loved. So yeah. It was a mix of emotional and wonderful. We completed a 1000 piece puzzle, which we were all very proud of lol, did a lot of video game playing, reading and catching up on Arrow. There was a lot of “You have failed this vacation.” “You have failed this puzzle.” “You have failed this dinner.” “You have failed this video game” Type of shenanigans going on… ha-ha!

On New Year’s Eve, it was just my brothers, Trisha, Diane, Flo and our mutually good friend, Mike. We played The Game Of Nasty Things, which was absolutely hilarious and I admit I laughed a little too hard at many of the answers we came up with (myself included). After we rang in the New Year with Champaign, we played poker, which ended up lasting until almost 6am … lol I was the last of 3, so I’m pretty happy with that. Mike and Flo ended up splitting the pot since everyone was just so tired. It was actually very low-key and a great night with people I love the most.

I’m coming to (slow) terms that my dad would want me to live my life, not live trapped in my room, constantly in bed and constantly sleeping.

Sort of ‘resolutions’ for this year, but more along the lines of wanting to get back on the horse and learn to handle my father’s passing a lot better than I have been the last six months (I still can’t believe he passed away six months—almost 7—ago!).

1. I want to be more aware of what I eat.
2. I want to be more aware of how I treat others and how I am treated (and stand up for myself more when I’m being unfairly treated).
3. I want to write more (for sure). I’ve been working on a book, so that has also been keeping me busy the last few months, but it has a lot of work to go. But, I’d also like to just keep up with this journal too.
4. Continue: Have breakfast every morning and do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day (I currently do this, but want to keep it up… when I fell emotionally, I fell in every aspect of my life… slowly getting back to ‘living’).
5. Visit at least ONE place I’ve never been too.
6. Add: More veggies/fruits into my diet. I’m really bad at this.
7. Play less World of Warcraft (It’s sad how much I’ve been playing it lately).
8. Go out more. I’ve become the definition of a hermit (not kidding).
9. Read more than 17 books this year. Gonna go for 25 but hoping for about 50.
10. Find Love. I don’t think this one will be easy, and I don’t expect it to be, but I think it’s time I stop being a selfish person and learn to share my life with someone. I don’t think it will happen this year, but putting it out there in the universe for whenever the time is right… it happens: I am ready. I am ready to trust again. I am ready to open up. I am ready to share my very valuable ‘me’ time :P

 I'm going to be posting these 'the next day', since Ill pull the information right off of my fitbit. I'm trying to lose 15lbs for my brother's wedding in April. We shall see :P AND, I do want to see RED for the very last piece (If I cut out between 500-1000 calories a day = losing weight).  I am kind of in a competition with myself. Yesterday was one of the best days I've had (activity / food / etc) wise in a really long time. Let's see if I can top it. :P
